Tipsy Library and Red Stick Spice are spilling the tea on how to successfully incorporate teas into your cocktails!

In the same way that not all spirits are the same, teas vary tremendously and don't always behave the same way in a cocktail, sometimes leading to undesirable results. Anne Milneck, tea expert and proprietor of Red Stick Spice, will lend her expertise to understanding tea as an ingredient, while I cover the fundamentals of cocktail making. We will explore using teas as a direct leaf infusion, in syrups, and adding brewed tea to a cocktail.

The cocktails:

Boozy Arnold Palmer - A hibiscus syrup and Golden Assam brewed tea elevate this classic vodka-based cocktail that you'll be sipping all summer.

Earl Grey Marteani - Traditional gin gets infused with earl grey tea leaves in this simple, but refreshing and complex, modern classic.

To Thursday! - An orange ginger black tea syrup adds depth and zest to this rum and sparkling cocktail.

Possible allergens: grapefruit, egg white

Tipsy Librarian Policies:
Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early. If you are running late, please email Tipsy Librarian to let me know. Must be 21 or older; no exceptions. Valid ID required. Uber voucher link and food menu will be emailed the evening prior to the email attached to the reservation. (Please check your Junk folder.)

CLASS POLICY: No Refunds. If for some reason you are unable to attend the event, two options are offered: 1) A credit can be applied towards a future event. In order to receive a credit towards a future class, The Tipsy Librarian must be notified through email of the request at least 72 hours prior to the class date. If your request is made less than 72 hours prior to the class, a credit towards a future class will not be applied. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. (As spirit and food orders are placed one week prior to the event, no refunds are offered.) 2) Transferring your spot to someone else. Spots in classes are transferrable.

If possible, please notify The Tipsy Librarian of the change. (Please be sure to share your individualized Uber voucher with that person.)
