Join New Orleans based chef Celeste Baer in the Teaching Kitchen for some host-making skills that will have you entertaining with serious style. She had us at Fool Proof Cheeseboard, but this class has so, so much more. Warm fennel olives, quick pickled veggies, homemade jam plus swoon worthy bites and pickups. This class is all about making entertaining doable and delicious. Meet your instructor:
Celeste Baer specializes in artisanal, farm-to-table cuisine. Her background in the culinary industry along with certifications and studies as a nutritional therapy practitioner and the "Cookbook Project's Food Literacy Educator" have led her to follow her passion through food wellness. Celeste is the founder of "Bayou Baby Bites", a locally sourced line of baby purees and has been featured in New Orleans Entrepreneur Week's "The Big Idea" as well as the winner of the "NOLA Made" pitch competition and finalist in Propeller's "Living Well" competition.  Celeste was classically trained at the Culinary Institute LeNotre in Houston,TX and then received her certification as a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner from the Nutritional Therapy Association.  Celeste currently works full time for Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Foundation: inspiring, mentoring and enabling youth to reach their full potential through culinary and arts education. On the weekends you can find Celeste perusing the Farmers Market with her husband and 2 young children or running along Bayou St. John with her rescue pups.

This class is for participants 16 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.

CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
