Definitely not for the faint of heart! The Ghost Pepper, as known as Bhut Jolokia, was once considered the hottest pepper in the world. This pepper clocks in at 1,000,000 on the Scoville Heat Scale. It boasts more than 300 times the heat of a jalapeno. Think Cayenne is hot? Think again, the Ghost Pepper tops the Cayenne's heat by more than 50 times.
Grind this pepper into a powder (use care and protective eye wear) and use on wings, in chili or in salsa. Soak these chiles in warm water then blend into a chili puree that's quite delicious (but nearly lethal.) Use this puree in enchilada sauce or taco seasonings. However, you use it...use with care!
Our Ghost Peppers are dried. Dried Ghost chiles are harvested at their ripe red stage of maturity when their heat levels are at their peak. We keep only small quantities of dried peppers in stock to guarantee freshness. Our Ghost Peppers have not been sitting in a warehouse for months, we order in small batches from a quality farm and keep our supply in our climate controlled store so you will receive the highest quality dried peppers available. Because of this we will occasionally be out of stock, check back frequently if you are unable to order. You won't be dissapointed.
