Eat the Season

Thanks for contacting us. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

EACH CLASS PURCHASE OF $110 IS FOR AN INDIVIDUAL - ONE PERSON. YOU WILL WORK AT A STATION WITH ANOTHER GUEST, COOKING A DISH FOR THE GROUP MEAL.

Eat the Season is an immersive, hands-on cooking class that will connect home cooking with the rhythm of the local harvest. This class celebrates the peak flavors of the season and features what's growing on local farms. This class shifts with the solstice, and the specifics of the vegetables, greens and fruit won't reveal themselves until we hit the market that week.

Meet Kelli, Teaching Kitchen Chef and your instructor. Kelli's resume includes a long list of restaurant and catering experience - tons of knowledge she's ready to pass along to the home cook. Kelli is a regular at farmer's markets and produce stands, and she'll never pass up a roadside stand and the opportunity to chat with a grower. In this class, you'll work with Kelli's fresh finds from that week. The produce on the menu may change, but what won't change is Kelli's commitment to making the most of the season.

By focusing on local sourcing from markets, produce stands, Iverstine Butcher and Fullness Farm, this class highlights the importance of sustainable food systems and the beauty of the edible calendar. This is a hands-on class that ends in a full meal. Everyone receives recipes and a store discount for in store or online shopping.
