Join us in the Teaching Kitchen as we continue our Cook the Book series with the perfect pairing: Red Stick Spice X Red Stick Reads! The purchase price of this class includes a copy of Ann Patchett's Tom Lake. Participants will pick up their book from Red Stick Reads. 

Join Anne along with James & Theresa from Red Stick Reads in the Teaching Kitchen for an exploration of the Ann Patchett's Tom Lake. In this cooking class and discussion, we'll explore the signature Michigan dishes that Lara and Aunt Maisie would have served at the farmhouse on the cherry farm. 

The class ends with a full meal and book discussion led by James & Theresa of Red Stick Reads. Plus, you'll walk away with a packet full of recipes and a store discount for in store or online shopping.

The $125 class purchase includes a copy of Tom Lake by Ann Patchett. Participants can pick up their pre-paid copy of the book at Red Stick Reads at 541 S. Eugene in Mid City Baton Rouge prior to the class. Red Stick Reads is Baton Rouge's only locally-owned book store located in the heart of Mid City.

This class is for participants 13 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.

CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning, food purchases and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
