Our Absolute Beginners classes are all about building skills to cook with confidence - and pan sauces are a great place to start!
In this Absolute Beginners class, we will cover knife skills and then describe and demonstrate the technique for creating a pan sauce. He will break down the method and tools that you need: choosing the right pan, building fond, adding liquids (stock, wine, spirits, cream) and managing heat. Each guest will cook a protein and and sauce. While the recipes differ, the fundamental skills are the same, and you'll use those skills at home to create delicious pan sauces on your own.

Seared Chicken Thighs with Tomato Basil Pan Sauce
Panneed Chicken Cutlet with Lemon Caper Pan Sauce
Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Marsala Wine Pan Sauce
Seared Sirloin Steak with Brandy Cream Sauce
This class is for participants 13 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.
CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
