Can we pour you a spot of tea? SoGO Tea Bar is the perfect spot for your small group gathering for Afternoon Tea. Cozy, casual and a little bit funky - SoGO Tea Bar is tucked right inside Red Stick Spice Company located in Mid City Baton Rouge. SoGO Tea Bar's baristas serve up perfectly-steeped teas all week long.

SoGO Private Afternoon Teas include tiered servers piled high with amazingly-delicious savories, scones, sweets and spreads. Private Afternoon Teas are available to groups of six. 

Chef Matthew Stansbury crafts delicious courses for every Afternoon Tea. Matt is our Teaching Kitchen Chef as well as the baker behind the hand-crafted treats served daily in SoGO Tea Bar.

Afternoon Tea includes a starting savory course with soup, sandwiches and baked savories. From feta-flecked spanakopita to classic, cool cucumber sandwiches, Matt is always thinking up new savories for Afternoon Tea. A tiered server of scones and sweets follows with surprises of cookies, trifles, chocolate bark and more. Fresh fruit, lemon curd, Devonshire Cream and Grinning Jupiter jams accompany the sweets. 

Here's how it works:

1. $40 per person - Private Teas are a single purchase of $240
2. Gather your group of 6 people.The room seats six. Children 10 and over are welcome along with an accompanying adult - both must hold paid tickets. 
3. Contact us about dates. Click the contact form here and give us 2 date options that work for your group to start off the conversation. We'll find a date that works for your group. Afternoon Teas can be scheduled starting at noon through 4pm weekdays.

Private Afternoon Teas require a set number of six people.
