Lukas works as our stock assistant after school and during the summer. He didn't have to think long about his guilty pleasure: Donuts. When we quizzed him on which type of donuts he preferred, he rattled off every donut variety. We normally leave this sort of fare to the experts, but for Lukas, we fired up the deep fryer, mixed the dough and set it out to rise overnight. The end result were warm, melty donuts with a sweet glaze and crunchy cinnamon sugar.

Tres Leches translates to three milks...and muy delicioso! This Mexican dessert is composed of a light and fluffy sponge cake that absorbs the rich, sweet milk mixture. Top it with whipped cream and berries for a gorgeous end to a Cinco de Mayo celebration!

Simple, warm and delicious--this dessert is easy to love. The subtle sweetness from the juice of the pears co-mingles with the butter, brown sugar and vanilla to make a butterscotch-like sauce.

Monkey Bread is a sleepover staple in our house. Nothing quiets a table full of teenagers like warm, cinnamon-y goodness. It's also a fairly simple recipe that kids can help prepare--making it a great choice for Mom on Mother's Day.
