Our Pecan Oil is a local product, coming straight from Pointe Coupee Parish in Louisiana. We love the rich, nuttiness of this oil--we can't stop tasting it!
Pecan Oil is a heart-healthy cooking oil good for everyday use. Use this one for bread dipping. Drizzle it in a dish, sprinkle with a little sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, warm a baguette and dig in! Use it as a substitute it for other oils or butter in sauteing, frying and braising. Its nutty flavor isn't overpowering, making Pecan Oil excellent for salad dressings and marinades.
Pecan Oil is also a great choice for high-heat cooking. With a much higher smoke point than olive oil, Pecan Oil is a great choice for grilling, cast iron cooking and stir frying (remember, woks get really hot!) We featured this oil in episode one of our podcast Smidgen when we cooked up Peruvian Spatchcock Chicken. So delicious!
We added Pecan Oil instead of butter to our Banana Bread with Cinnamon Crunch Topping to change the consistency from crumb-like to cake-like... delicious!
