How to Use Spices


Join chef Anne Milneck and expert instructor Cameron LeCompte in the cooking classroom during your lunch hour for a fun and delicious cooking lesson that will have your belly filled with delicious food and your noggin filled with new ideas! This daytime class will answer the number one question we receive in the store: How do I use spices? (Fun Fact: EVERY Red Stick Spice cooking class features info on how to use spices.)

This class will focus on a particular spice and take you through a myriad of ways to incorporate that spice into everyday cooking. Anne doesn't call herself the Tireless Champion of Home Cooks for nothing. She's a firm believer in cooking at home--no matter how busy you are. 

October 12: All About Paprika

Cheddar, Sage & Smoked Paprika Scones with Spicy Compound Butter

Red Pepper & Paprika Soup with Pistachio Gremolata

Quick Chicken Paprikash with Spaetzle

Dark Chocolate Custard with Hot Smoked Paprika and Spiced Pecans

This is a hands on class that ends in a full meal with the opportunity to take home leftovers. All students take home recipes and receive a store discount. 

This class is for participants 13 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.

CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
