FODMAPs are a group of compounds found in food, and it's believed that these short-chain carbs and sugar alcohols may contribute to symptoms of gastro-intestinal conditions and diseases like IBS, Crohn's Disease and Colitis Disease. Anne's son was diagnosed with Crohn's, and she is active in her work with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Robust research into low FODMAP diets is underway to gain greater understanding of how this lifestyle may benefit patients. Many patients currently cite positive results and a move toward remission when adhering to the low FODMAP eating style.
Don't miss this hands-on class where Anne will teach cooking tips to take the guesswork out of low-FODMAP food prep while adding full flavor. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert items with a focus on batch cooking with lunchbox packable leftovers. We will be cooking from The Low-FODMAP Diet for Beginners Cookbook. This is a hands-on class where each participant enjoys a full meal. Everyone receives a sample product and a store discount to use the day of the class.
CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
