Join Anne in the Red Stick Spice test kitchen for a live 60-minute cooking class. Not only will you learn to cook a roux, you'll gain the technique that's the basis of so many South Louisiana dishes. Anne earned her culinary degree at the John Folse Culinary Institute down the bayou in Thibodaux, LA. She earned her real cooking chops standing at the stove beside her mother, grandmother and aunts. Anne's taught hundreds of classes, and she believes mastering a roux is a requirement.
These classes are PERFECT for cooking as a pair including household partners, roommates, parent and child. Plan to prep your cooking space and can cook along with Anne-we highly recommend cooking live with us! Or you can sit back, watch, learn and store away the info for a future cooking session. You can ask Anne questions and even interact with other students. You will receive a recording of the class with all the questions and answers, recipes and links to other materials, so you can refer back and cook the dish again and again.

This class is recommended for participants 16 and up and we strongly recommend that you cook alongside your tween or teen!
