"Wash your hands. Rest. Hydrate. And wash your hands." That was the answer my physician gave me when I asked for her advice on treating my lingering cold and general case of yucky-ness. I tested negative for flu. No strep. "Garden variety cold," she said. "Get more sleep. Drink more fluids." Then she washed her hands.
