Berry Blast Sparkler

This lovely cocktail is a snap with make-ahead simple syrup made from our super-delicious Berry Blast Herbal Tea. Rim the flutes with our Blueberry Sugar for a sweet, crunchy treat. Then, top it with sparkling wine, Champagne or Prosecco and you'll be crowned the hostess with the mostess!

Ingredients for the Berry Simple Syrup:

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

1 oz Berry Blast Tea

Directions for the Berry Simple Syrup:

In a saucepan, simmer the sugar and water until the sugar is melted and the mixture is clear. Add the Berry Blast Tea. Turn off heat and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Strain and chill the simple syrup. Rather than discarding the tea, you can re-steep the tea in water to enjoy a cup of tea, but be sure to store the steeped (damp) tea in the refrigerator if you aren't ready to re-steep it right away.

To make the cocktail:

Pour a few tablespoons Blueberry Sugar in a shallow dish. Dampen the rim of the flutes with a lemon wedge or water. Dredge in the rims of the glasses in the Blueberry Sugar. Pour 1 Tbl Berry Simple Syrup in a champagne flute (or more, depending on the size of the flute.) Top with sparkling wine, Champagne or Prosecco. Garnish with blackberries, raspberries or thinly sliced lemon.
