We have quite a few beekeepers who visit our store. There's certainly no shortage of local honey in our area, and we love being able to choose from all the varieties and flavors out there. Our Local Honeychanges depending on the season and the beekeeper who supplies it. We lean toward mild tasting varieties that work well in tea and as glazes and marinades. Oh, and in this spiced honey butter...delicious on Pumpkin Spice Bread!
Ingredients:
1 lb unsalted butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions:
In a stand mixer, beat the butter at high speed until light and fluffy. Add in the remaining ingredients and beat until fully incorporated. Store in a ceramic or glass dish or roll into a log in parchment. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate and use within 1 month. Freezes well.
