Truffle Sea Salt Uses

Truffles are highly prized (and expensive) subterranean mushrooms found in the forests of Italy and France.  French gourmand Brillat-Savarin called them the "diamond of the kitchen."  There is possibly no flavor or scent like that of truffles. 

We stock both White and Black Truffle Sea Salts.  They're a great way to add the flavor of truffles without breaking the bank.  Try our truffled salts on... 

Eggs--Sprinkle it on —scrambled eggs, baked eggs or omelettes

Potatoes--Use truffle salt in place of regular salt on baked potatoes or French fries!

Risotto--Truffle salt adds a subtle richness to creamy risottos.

Bruschetta--Make bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil or butter, sprinkle with truffle salt

Baked Pasta--Stir a teaspoon into a cup of ricotta cheese and use the truffled cheese for baked pasta dishes.

Popcorn with Truffle Salt--Open a bottle of chilled champagne, pop some popcorn, add butter and truffle salt.  Cheers!
