Dark La Mesa Sweet Potato Fries

The sweet, smoky, chocolate notes of our Dark la Mesa Chili Powder are the perfect compliment these sweet tubers. We happened upon thin-skinned, locally grown sweet potatoes, so peeling wasn't necessary. Peeled or unpeeled, these baked sweet potato fries are a healthy alternative to deep fried spuds. These go perfectly with backyard BBQ. 


2 lbs sweet potatoes, cut into 1/4" fries

2 tsp salt

1 Tbl Dark la Mesa Chili Powder

2 Tbl Blood Orange Avocado Oil


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, toss the cut sweet potatoes, salt, Dark la Mesa Chili Powder and Blood Orange Avocado Oil. Turn and toss until evenly coated. Spread into a even layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes then use a spatula to turn them. Bake another 10 minutes or until tender and browned.
