Our Community Partners

Shortly after taking the reins of Red Stick Spice Company, store owner Anne Milneck began fielding requests from charitable organizations. Anne explained it this way, "The need was so great in the community, but what I could contribute was very small. I realized we needed a strategy if we wanted to make an impact when it came to our philanthropic decisions." Anne decided to streamline her charitable giving in ways that speak to Red Stick Spice Company's core values of health, home cooking and building community.

The bulk of Anne's personal and professional resources go to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Anne's son Clay was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease in July 2016. She immediately became involved with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and today serves as the Louisiana Mississippi Chapter Board President. Small business cannot succeed without the community's support, and community starts with neighborhoods. Red Stick Spice is a proud member of the Mid City Merchant's Association. We applaud their efforts to engage the Capital Heights, Ogden Park and Old Goodwood neighborhoods. The association's annual events White Light Night and Hot Art Cool Nights make Mid City the hottest zip code in Baton Rouge.

Becoming an underwriter of Baton Rouge's public radio station WRKF was an easy decision for Anne. As a listener, she appreciates the diverse lineup of solid newscasting, cultural programming and insightful commentary. Anne explained, "Underwriting with WRKF made perfect sense for Red Stick Spice Company. We share the same values when it comes to building community via close, individual connections with our customers and listeners. We are a perfect fit."
