Easy Apple Pie Cream Cheese Pastry
Ingredients:

1 Package of Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (2 sheets) 1/2 Cup of Apple Pie Filling

1 Package (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened

5 Tablespoons Sugar

1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

1 Teaspoon of Red Stick Spice (RSSC) Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract or Paste.

1/8 Teaspoon of RSSC Ginger Sea Salt

3/4 Teaspoon “RSSC” Apple Pie Spice Blend

Directions:

Thaw pastry sheets at room temperature. Unfold each pastry sheet on a greased baking sheet. Preheat oven to 375°F.

Mix cream cheese, sugars, vanilla, salt and “Red Stick Spice Company” Apple Pie Spice Blend.

Place half of the cream cheese mixture on the short end of each pastry sheet, starting 1” from the top edge. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly so it approximately 3” in height and the width of the pastry sheet stopping 1” from the side edges. Spread 1/4 cup of the apple pie filling over the cream cheese on each pastry sheet.

Cut three slits evenly spaced on the side of the pastry sheet that does not have the cream cheese mixture. Fold the portion of the pastry sheet with the slits over the portion of the pastry sheet with the cream cheese mixture and apple pie filling. Press edges of pastry sheet together to seal.

Place each pastry 2" apart on greased baking sheets with the section of the pastry with slits facing up. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire racks.
