Grilled Pound Cake with Salted Butterscotch Sauce

While you're at the grocery store, grab a prepared pound cake from the freezer case or bakery section and a carton of vanilla ice cream. With that, you're just about done with dessert! We love this dish because the Salted Butterscotch Sauce is decadent enough to make a few convenience items really shine. We used a stovetop, cast iron grill pan for the pound cake, but an outdoor grill works great, too.

Ingredients:

Prepared Pound cake cut into 1/2 inch slices

Softened Butter

Carton of Vanilla Ice Cream

Salted Butterscotch Sauce

Directions:

Heat a cast-iron grill pan on the stovetop or an outdoor grill to medium-high. Butter both sides of the cake slices. Grill until distinct grill marks are seen. Before turning, you can rotate 45 degrees to create a crosshatch pattern. Or simply turn to make single marks on both sides. Place on a plate and top with ice cream and drizzle with the warm Salted Butterscotch Sauce.
